About the organisation

PIA Forest Kindergarten, Ankara's first and only accredited forest kindergarten inspired by Reggio Emilia, is an innovative preschool institution that believes every child is an individual born with a curiosity, an inquisitive spirit, and a creative nature. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach and embracing the Forest School philosophy, we believe children learn best in nature, through experience and living; we don't confine their learning processes within four walls. Our garden, workshops, forest activities, and carefully designed learning environments allow children to explore, question, and create freely. At PIA, education is planned with a holistic approach that supports social-emotional development, problem-solving skills, creativity, self-confidence, and independence alongside academic achievements. Our teachers are not simply transmitters of information; they are educational leaders who guide, observe, and inspire children on their learning journey. We prioritize instilling a sustainable living culture from an early age; with our Remida workshop, natural materials, and recycling-focused activities, we support our children in growing up as individuals who respect nature.
